Daily green activity to start the year with healthy curiosity

First post of the year about doing something “Green” each day. What defines something green is very broad. There is no time commitment and really anything can go.

The idea is to find out if this is rewarding as an individual to do. Is there a way to do any action as an individual that will help with sustainability or healthy living or carbon drawdown or farming improvement or animal health or anything? Since I will be thinking, studying, and researching the topic, I thought to write about it.

Today, I raked a normal size wheelbarrow full of leaves onto a budding compost pile. I am also researching creating a compost pile. It took about 10 minutes to do. I realised that I did not record the type of tree so I will make a note to gather that tomorrow. I did a bit of research to confirm that putting leaves on a pile to be helpful.

I also wanted to use these posts to do a bit of research and connect the idea to research.

Here are some related articles I found on using leaves in compost.
